Yellow. 

When I think of yellow...several descriptors come to mind. 

Warm. Bright. Cheerful. Animated. 

Reminds me of someone I know.  :D

Olive Green.

We've been into Pistachios this week. 

I wasn't particularly looking for this week's color 

while enjoying my little snack. 

So ... I was quite pleased when I realized

 the pistachios were a good match for Olive Green.

Hot, balmy days.

Four Baby Birdies Sittin' In a Tree.

We are so happy Mama Robin felt the tree

 directly outside our dining room window was  

a suitable spot to build her nest. 

We couldn't have asked for a better 

observation spot. At first, she would fly away 

if any one of us approached the window, making 

it quite difficult to get a good picture of her sitting

on her eggs. 

Though now, she must be feeling a bit more 

comfortable with our curiousity. She will stay

if we approach slowly, but she

 doesn't move a muscle and keeps 

a watchful eye on us.

The eggs hatched about 1-2 weeks ago. It's been 

amazing watching them grow.

 They went from looking nothing like a bird at all

to these cute, fuzzy creatures. 

I thought the fuzz on these sweet baby robins

in the photo above was a great match for  

timberwolf, this week's color on Project 64.

These photos were taken just after Mama fed them. 

I've tried to capture them with their little mouths open, 

but have been unsuccessful to this point.

Mama might not know it, but she's got 

four extra sets of eyes watching to 

make sure her babies stay safe in their nest.

Salmon Scooter.

Well, I didn't think I'd make it for this week's

 color challenge with Project 64. It was 

the girls' last week of school and let me tell you, 

it was a crazy, busy week. 

I had all but given up on searching for salmon, when yesterday at a Vespa dealership, my best friend

 pointed out this cute "salmon-colored" scooter! 

All my pictures this week are SOOC 

(straight-out-of-camera) shots,

no time for editing!! 

 My best friend entered a Vespa contest

and unbelievably...she won! 

I photographed her winning picture, so 

naturally I had to be there to take pictures

as she picked it up!              

It was the last day of school, so it was great that 

the girls could all share in the fun! 

Horsies.

My youngest daughter is an animal-lover, 

especially of horses. 

So, about 1-1/2 years ago, she started riding lessons. 

She LOVES it. 

She loves every thing about it. 

I am also enjoying it. I have found I look forward to the time

at the farm. It's beautiful and peaceful. The 

perfect place to sit back and relax for an hour.

 But I most enjoy watching my little girl do what she loves.
