Wordless Wednesday | The Past Week via Instagram

Photobucket

My photos are not in the order in which they occurred this week, but nonetheless, here is my week via Instagram photos.

1.  I received my second edition of Click magazine ... I was a little excited (ok, a lot excited) and settled down in front of the fire for a good read.
2.  On the same day, my order from Black River Imaging came - my new iPhone case! It made for quite an exciting mail day!!  The photo was one of my favorites from our Christmas Card photo shoot
3.  This past summer, my husband and discovered that we love cooking together, finding new recipes and trying them out. This night we butterflied chicken breasts, breaded them and browned them in a skillet. We then topped them with a tomato/basil salsa and finished them off with some fresh mozzarella cheese. We popped them in the oven for a few minutes to melt the cheese and cook through. The verdict ... AMAZING!
4.  We finally had a day with sunshine and blue skies!
5.  We had a few frosty mornings this past week. I captured some frost on our Cleveland Pear.
6.  We took a road trip this weekend to my daughter's first track meet. It was very foggy and gray. She did really well for her first meet ever, by the way. We were so proud.
7.  Took a walk to a local park. The snow was still piled up! It's taken a couple weeks to melt, but its pretty much gone as of today - just in time for the snow tonight. Blek! Two-to-three inches are on their way, says the weatherman.
8.  Woke up Sunday morning and wished all my Insta-Friends a good morning.
9.  Another frosty pic. On this particular morning, I decided to try out my Olloclip I got for Christmas. I used the macro lens. It's a pretty cool toy!!!

I hope you are also having a good week!!
Happy WW!

A Peek at Our Week via Instagram

Photobucket

Another busy week of summer has flown by. We've enjoyed more sun and pool time, reconnected with friends we haven't seen in awhile, gotten more cousin time, hopscotched (for the first time in a very LONG time), made refreshing watermelon coolers, watched some amazing sunsets and even made cucumber rings for every finger and then ate them all one by one.

Yesterday, the girls and I along with some of our besties took a small road trip to State College, PA to the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts 2012.

(Check out my face in the corner! I was concentrating very intently on getting everyone in the photo! ha ha)

It was bustling with people and the art was phenomenal. There were award-winning artists from all around the United States displaying and selling their artwork. If you are interested in more information, you can check out their website here.  After sipping on smoothies and enjoying the art, we stopped for dinner and then ended the evening with a little shopping and ice cream. It was a perfect evening with our girlfriends! :)

By the way, these are all Instagram photos I've taken this past week. If you want to check out what else we've been up to lately, you can check out my Instagrid. I'm participating in the Summer Daze Fun Photo Party with Alicia, Kristi and Rebecca. You can follow them for more summer fun or search #summerdaze hashtag on Instagram to see what everyone else has been busying themselves with this summer. I'm also participating in Favorite Photo Friday with Lisa at The Long Road to China. She's an incredible photographer/blogger whom I've recently discovered lives relatively close. Her photos are amazing and her children are dear. Stop in and say hi and while you're there check out the other participants' favorite photos of the week.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Summer Daze Photo Party | Week One

If you don't know by now, Summer is my absolute favorite time of the year! I love everything about it ... waking to the sound of the song birds, hot afternoons and warm nights, the days with no structure, swimming, lounging, s'mores, picnics, vacations .... I truly could go on and on. Our first week has already flown by but included pool time with cousins and friends, grilled pizza and strawberry shortcake with family, staying up late and sleeping in, jeep rides, reading, celebrating my sister, Sarah's, birthday and baking lots of chocolate chip cookies!

Looking through my photos this week, it appears I was obsessed with insects and critters. This fellow was hanging out in one of the magnolia flowers that had bloomed a little earlier in the week.

This guy was slithering about one of our Hemlock trees. With quite a bit of poking and prodding, my husband got him out from under it and I was able to snap a few photos. My girls are quite the opposite of one another. My oldest didn't even want to look at it, my youngest couldn't get enough before my husband picked him up and deposited him in the wetlands across the road. Hopefully he doesn't find his way back!

Flyguy was hanging out on a Magnolia leaf one morning after the rain.

My daisies.

And I snapped a photo of this lovely butterfly moth by the pool one afternoon.

It's been a good week, full of fun and relaxation.
Leaving you with a few Instagram shots from the week.
You can find more of my Instagram shots here.

I'm linking up once again with Kristi, Alicia and Rebecca. They are hosting a fun-filled, laid-back photo party for the next six weeks. No prompts, no challenge ... a place to share our summer fun! Feel free to join in! They are sharing awesome freebies too such as the Summer Bucket List below. You can find this here on Project Alicia as well as a free collage template she's sharing. Kristi has also made a free collage template this week which I used for my daisy photos above. You can find that here.

Let's see how many of these we can check off this summer, shall we?

Enjoy your weekend! It looks like an awesome one here in the Northeast!!

Leap Into Spring | Rain/Water

This week's theme for Leap Into Spring is Rain/Water. We've certainly had plenty of rain this week. Unfortunately, after the wonderful heat wave we experienced last week, a cold front has swept through our region this week. Towns only about an hour away experienced a foot or more of snow. I'm so very thankful we were spared the snow ... I'm not sure I could have handled that very well, ha ha. Anyway, I grabbed my umbrella and pulled on my favorite rain boots and braved the elements to capture the rain drops softly dripping off these flower petals.

The weatherman assured us this morning that a warm-up was on the way next week. I sure hope he doesn't disappoint!
Happy Friday!
