Poetic Winter Photography Challenge | Solitude

Earlier this week, the snow began falling ... large, white, fluffy flakes.
Photobucket
I was drawn to the door. I opened it. The sound ... silence.
Photobucket
I slipped on my boots and walked out into the quiet night.
Photobucket
It was peaceful.
Photobucket
Calming.
Photobucket
The moment of quiet solitude was pleasantly refreshing.
Photobucket
I took in a deep breath of the cold winter air, filling my lungs.
Photobucket
I exhale slowly, my daughter joins me and we dance in the snow.

  1. Love these shots in the dark! Wow! They are striking. I especially love that last one. (Just thought I should tell you that some of your photobucket pics aren't showing up. Did you delete them or move them to a new file? If so it breaks the file and they won't show up. Perhaps you deleted them intentionally? If that's the case you just need to remove the small photobucket "this image or video has been removed" box.) Thanks so much for joining the Poetic Winter Challenge!! Really enjoy your work and looking forward to seeing more!

  3. I really loved this, Tish! That last line gave my goosebumps. :) I so do love the silence that accompanies snow fall. I love how snow transforms the world around us in a blanket of peace.
