Merry Christmas!

Oh Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,

Photobucket

It is the night of the dear Savior's birth.

Photobucket

Long lay the world in sin and error pining.

Photobucket

Til He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.

Photobucket

A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,

Photobucket

For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!

Photobucket

Fall on your knees!

Photobucket

Oh, hear the angel voices!

Photobucket

Oh night divine,

Photobucket

the night when Christ was born.

Oh night,

Oh holy night,

Oh night divine.

Oh night, oh holy night.

Celebrating the birth of Christ!
Make sure to take time this season to be thankful for the amazing gift of His birth as well as the gift of family. In a world filled with uncertainty, I'm clinging tight to mine and feeling so very, very grateful. We are also continuing to lift up those families of Sandy Hook ... prayers for comfort, grace, peace
and strength.

Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas and
prayers for a New Year full of blessings.
From my family to yours.

Mini Photo Shoot

We attended our first Christmas party of the holiday season last Saturday. I thought the girls looked just too pretty not to snap a few photos. They, of course, were not so happy as I pulled my camera from the bag, but were even less so when I told them I wanted to go outside in the cold. It didn't give them much consolation when I promised to be quick. But, they put on their smiles and made mama happy. :)

I am so incredibly thankful for these sweet girls of mine. The families of Sandy Hook, CT have been in our family's thoughts and prayers this entire week. Our hearts are heavy and we can't imagine the grief and unbelievable pain they must be experiencing. My hope is that we can all come together and make a change in our world. Hug your children tighter, put your computer/phones down and spend some extra time with your family, pay it forward to neighbors and strangers alike in your communities .... We can make a difference, right where we are.

I'll be posting our Christmas photos later this week, so be sure to check back. Also, I'm excited to share that I recently opened a Facebook page for my photography ... Tish OConnor Photography! If you get a chance, stop in and like my page. I'm happy to share some favorite shots from some recent sessions with you. I've added a new social media button in the right upper corner of my blog page for easy access from here anytime.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays,
Tish

In the Fog | Wordless Wednesday

Yesterday was really a bizarre day weather-wise. The fog was really dense. I could barely see the car in front of me as I took the girls to school. It seemed as the morning went on that it actually worsened.
In the Fog 1
Finally, around 1:00 p.m. I thought it was starting to lift. Then around 2:00 p.m., I looked out my window and it was foggy again. This pattern continued even into the nighttime.
In the Fog 2
This morning, it was still foggy, but it lifted fairly early in the morning. The fog was due to a change in the weather, which we did thoroughly enjoy today. It was 65-degrees here and it felt and smelled like spring. It was heavenly!
In the Fog 5 But, even as I write type this, the wind is ripping and the rain is pounding our roof. Just like that, the weather is turning. Tomorrow, we will be back to reality for the Northeast in the month of December - 40 degrees. Bummer.
In the Fog 6
But we are thankful for the beautiful day we had. If only we could have a few of these mixed into the winter here and there, it sure would make it a little easier to bare!

If you haven't had a chance to stop in and check out my Photobucket Story, please take a minute to do so. I had so much fun creating it and reminiscing on our Paris trip. You can also create one and if you hurry, you can enter to win $25,000! Just click here to create your story and for more information.

Happy WW!
