It's funny...brown is one of my favorite colors to wear, but I've disliked (very much) the brown drabness that follows the spectacular colors of Autumn. I must say, however, this photo challenge, in conjunction with a few others,
has so heightened my awareness. I now am noticing colors, textures and minute details more than I ever have.

And guess what ... I found some gorgeous browns.
I have a new appreciation for post-fall brown.
I can't tell you that come December or January I will still be in love with it, but for now, I am grateful for the "push" this challenge has delivered. I am enjoying the season to a much greater extent than I would have a year ago.
So, thank you Alicia, Kristi and Rebecca for hosting this
challenge. I am enjoying it immensely.
I don't think I should have to ever buy artwork to hang on my walls again. I just need to have my house be the Tisha house of photography !
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely - brown is a colour so underrated at autumn.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures! I, too, love how these challenges open my eyes to what I might not have noticed or appreciated otherwise.
ReplyDeletereally nice.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tones and textures, I especially love the first one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part again in the Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge!

That was the thing I noticed when photographing brown too- the textures and detail. Love both of these. Thanks so much for sharing!
