Artificial Carvable Pumpkins

So ... I'm not so much a crafty kind of gal. Its not that I don't like crafting, I just can't seem to sit down and accomplish much and ... I'll let you in on a secret - I'm a bit too impatient. I tried sewing when I was younger, but found that just when I thought I was moving right along, I made a mistake and had to rip it all out and start over. Blek! Same thing with knitting. My aunt tried to teach my sister and I - my sister picked right up on it, but me, I had to keep ripping out and starting over. (My sister can craft anything from nothing!! She's amazing.)

I've found so many cool ideas, but never do anything with them. I've pinned all sorts of DIY projects to my Bright Ideas board on Pinterest, but I don't think I've done one of them. So ... when I found these cute little artificial carvable pumpkins at Jo-Ann Fabrics, I knew I'd found the perfect little DIY project for me. QUICK & EASY!! :) Here's what I did:

And that's it! It probably took a total of 20 minutes and I have a cute little pumpkin I can use from year-to-year. Give it a try!

  3. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! I too get impatient. I tend to gravitate towards projects that can be completed in an hour or less. Any more than that I get pulled away, never to return. :)

  5. That is so very cute! And I'm with you on the crafting. I love all of the great ideas, but I rarely get anything accomplished with crafting. I don't have enough patience ;P

    This look perfect though!
